Residential Bill Page One

Service Information

This is the information where electricity is being delivered.

Customer Name is the person who is responsible for the electricity account.

Service Address is the address where the electricity is being used.

The Premise ID is used by Kitchener-Wilmot Hydro Inc. to identify the building or facility at that address.

Account Information

Account Number: The Account Number is the 10-digit number identifying the electricity account.

Invoice Number: The Invoice Number is the 12-digit number assigned to each specific bill. It is also used to register for My Account.

Pricing Method: Pricing Method is the type of pricing plan the account is on or if the customer is with an electricity retailer.

Account Type: Account Type describes the type of account.

What do I owe?

This is the total balance on the account and includes any current and past-due amounts.

How much did I use?

This shows the total electricity used in kilowatt hours for the billing period.

When is my bill due?

This is the date your payment must be received by to avoid being charged late payment fees.

Consumption Details

This chart shows your electricity consumption (use) for the current and previous billing period. On the first new bill you get you will only see your electricity use for that billing period, but on your second bill and all bills after that you will see bars that show your electricity use for the current and previous billing periods.

The number of days in your billing period can vary from period to period, which will affect how much electricity use you are billed for.

Charges & Credits Summary

Previous Balance shows any unpaid balances that are still on the account at the time of billing.

Adjustments reflect any adjustments we made to your bill, including account credits or deductions.

Payments Received shows any payments we received for the account in the previous billing period.

Charges this Period show the charges for your electricity use or account changes you need to pay for in the billing period.

What You Need to Know

Any important regulatory or account messages will be posted in this box.

Remittance slip

This is the remittance slip that should be returned with any payments you make by cash or cheque.

If you are paying through your bank or on pre-authorized payment, you do not need to return the remittance slip.

The remittance slip shows a summary of the information you need in order to pay your bill, including the invoice date, billing period, payment due date, amount due, the invoice number, and the account information.
